Spiced Quinoa
A tasty way to cover the flavor of quinoa for those who hate the taste but like the nutrition.

Yield: 2-4 servings
Preparation Instructions:
- Brown spices in oil in a large saucepan
- Add rinsed quinoa and stir well
- Add boiling water; simmer until water is absorbed
- Serve with soy sauce

Rice or other whole grain can be substituted for quinoa. Can make 1 lb of quinoa and freeze leftovers (use 2 and ¼ tsp of spices and 4 and ¼ cups water). Try it mixed into scrambled eggs.
I was quickly trying to put together some spice for our couscous and found this recipe on line. It’s every bit as good as it sounds! I added a few red pepper flakes and some Himalayan pink sea salt. Absolutely great, thank you!
I made this with purple kale and tofu! Added a little salt on the kale, and browned the tofu in olive oil and fish sauce before putting it in. Soy sauce was a nice touch. Thanks for the recipe!
