I just wish the large jar quantity would make a comeback!
And as a new addition, could Tomato Powder be packaged in a bulk form (ie: flatpack, 16 oz., etc.)?
The 1/2 cup jar is too slight for a Tomato Powder lovin’ gal like me.
Help us to Go Big or Go Home ;-)
Need tomato powder in a flatpack! Would pour some into a jar and then vacuum seal the rest refilling jar as needed.
I first discovered your tomato powder at Culinary Institute in Napa Valley. They sold me on the benefits of it and I really enjoy having it on hand. I ran out of it so checked your website. If I order a jar the shipping is as much as the product so it’s hard to justify. I would love if you had it in a flatpack as everything else I have found on your website I would order comes in a flatpack which makes it an easy decision to buy. Thank you.
Hi Joanne Neuharth,
You can make a basic pizza sauce from tomato powder by thinning it out with water. You may wish to season it with salt, garlic, and some Italian herbs for more flavor.
Hi Elizabeth,
We are considering offering tomato powder in Flatpacks later this year. Stay tuned!
Was wondering if tomato powder can replace tomato sauce. I have very few recipes that call for tomato paste. I make pizza often and use half an eight ounce can for the sauce and throw the rest away. Would be great if I could sub the powder.
this sounds so great, never heard of tomato powder, fantastic.
Hello, I have been using the, Wonderfully Versatile Tomato Powder for years, Love it!!
During the height of the lock down I was at times struggling to come up with something interesting to increase my appetite. Hhmmm…a tube of crescent rolls a pinch each of Italian seasoning Aleppo garlic salt and, Tomato Powder topped with a pinch of ‘vegan’ Parm. and a few drops of EVOO. These can be baked according to package direction, or my favorite, fried bread. Makes a delicate and delicious quick snack, or serve with nice green salad to which I add fave pizza toppings, or favorite feel good soup. For the fry bread, a few drops of EVOO onto a nonstick surface, spread round with paper towel. Place the dough onto cold pan. Using oil sucked into the paper, dab up side of dough. Sprinkle small pinch of each seasoning, starting with tomato as it scorches quickly, end with parm. Using a mid/low heat allow the down side to become golden brown, carefully turn. Be careful not to burn! I have baked these just pinching two pieces together, then add small amounts of, fave pizza topping. I have also made sweet crescents with, minced apple and Apple Pie Spice Mix! Both are quick and Delish!
Please let me know the different varieties you come up with! If you are wanting to add the tomato powder to soup,etc..you already have cooking, mix the power with just a little liquid and allow to sit a few minutes. I find when adding powder to hot moving liquid it tends to separate and climb up the sides. I wish You All, Happy and Delish kitchen experiments!!raf
When will tomato powder be available in flat pack? I just don’t need anymore jars or bottles,
What about using this in Italian vinaigrette recipe?
